HR & Office Manager

Job Summary

The Human Resources and Office Manager directs and coordinates all human resources and basic administration activities including recruitment and candidate selection, compensation, benefits, training and development, performance evaluation, employee relations, and engagement. They are a go-to resource for the team, working closely with senior leadership at the corporate office and offering support to managers at satellite foodservice locations (schools, universities, and businesses). Because the HandCut Foods team is spread across multiple locations, the Human Resources and Office Manager must be comfortable collaborating through email, conference calls, and site visits as needed.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support HandCut Foods’ mission and values in daily activities and the execution of people operations, client interaction, and office administration
  • Serve as the face of the company and an expert on company policy and perks
  • Develop and lead ongoing management training in employee relations, performance management, engagement, and development
  • Optimize and support full-cycle recruiting procedures: job posting, screening resumes, interviewing, background checking, and candidate assessment
  • Develop standards around employee onboarding and offboarding; design and schedule orientation day activities, coordinate technology activation/deactivation, conduct and report on exit interviews, etc.
  • Oversee benefits administration and payroll
  • Analyze wage and salary reports to determine competitive compensation plans
  • Identify legal requirements affecting HR functions and ensure that policies, procedures, and documentation are in compliance
  • Maintain all HR–related technologies and data to ensure compliance and accurate reporting
  • Ensure that all employee files are up to date and thoroughly document benefits participation, promotions and transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and other important information
  • Investigate accidents and prepare reports for insurance carrier
  • Manage relationships with outside employee services companies (staffing agencies, etc.)
  • Establish metrics and action plans for continuous improvement across HR functions
  • Manage inventory, organize, and place orders for office supplies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred
  • 5+ years of experience Human Resources

  • Experience in food and beverage industry a plus, especially if with multi-unit business
  • G Suite proficiency
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus
