Communications & Marketing Coordinator

Job Summary

The Communications and Marketing Coordinator oversees all internal and external communications for HandCut Foods. They are a strategic and creative thinker who works closely with senior leadership at the corporate office, as well as with managers at satellite foodservice locations (schools, universities, and businesses). Because the HandCut Foods team is spread across multiple locations, the Communications and Marketing Coordinator must be comfortable collaborating through email, conference calls, and site visits as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for internal and external communication across print, digital, and web platforms
  • Oversee and directly contribute to the creation of web content and blogs
  • Manage websites for HandCut Foods and ChefField Events
  • Set schedule and create content for team and client newsletters that boost engagement and promote the HandCut Foods brands
  • Manage and grow social media presences for HandCut Foods and ChefField Events
  • Design and distribute menus, promotional materials, and other marketing collateral
  • Develop “self-service” design templates for usage by off-site managers; provide ongoing assessment and training to ensure proper usage and adherence to brand standards
  • Set standards and rollout methods for cafeteria decor and merchandising
  • Manage third-party and freelance service relationships with web developers, photographers, designers, and printers
  • Plan and attend off-site marketing events; some weekend and evening hours required
  • Provide communication support to senior leadership before and during presentations ranging from all-hands meetings to investor summits
  • Define and coach team members on communication best practices
  • Respond to web inquiries, either directly or through delegation


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing/communications
  • Entrepreneurial spirit—HandCut Foods is a young and growing company!
  • Passion for and experience in the food and beverage industry
  • Graphic design experience; comfortable with InDesign and Photoshop
  • Proofreading experience
  • G Suite proficiency
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Experience with Squarespace
  • Experience with MailChimp
  • Experience with survey-building tools such as Typeform
  • Social media expertise (Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn)
